    The children are displaying angst, aggravation, apoplexy. They anxiously anticipate the answer to one of RK’s mysterious riddles; to what are we reacting???? Why would he cruelly withhold this vital piece of information? Maybe a healthy dose of tryptophan will calm them.

    This was of course an open ended question with several possible explanations. Really enjoyed reading,(and got a good laugh!) from some of your answers!

    –> The children are watching a puppet show, and the photo captures the moment the Dragon is slain. Snapped by Alfred Eisenstaedt in 1963- Tuileries Garden in Paris- climax of “Saint George and the Dragon”.
